Fruity Angel Food Cake Trifle

 

 

Warm summer nights call for a cool, refreshing dessert.  This fruity trifle will surely hit the spot!


Ingredients

4 cups cold milk 
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages vanilla isntant pudding mix
30-40 drops Pineapple Peach Dreamy Drops, available here
1 prepared angel food cake (approx 8-inch diameter), cubed
1 (8 ounce) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, drained
1 (15 ounce) can sliced pears, drained
1 pint strawberries, sliced
4 kiwi fruits, peeled, halved and thinly sliced
1 cup fresh blueberries


Directions

1.  In a mixing bowl, beat milk, pudding mix, and Pineapple Peach Dreamy Drops on low speed for 2 minutes; set aside.
2.  Split cake horizontally into thirds.
3.  Place one layer in a 5 quart trifle or serving bowl.
4.  Top with a third of the pudding, third of the whipped topping and a third of the fruit.
5.  Repeat layers two times.
6.  Cover and chill for at least 3 hours before serving.

Low-Fat Chocolate Mint Pudding Pie

 

 

Cool off this summer with a slice of this refreshing pudding pie!

Serves 6-8


Ingredients

1 1/4 cups low-fat Oreo cookie crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter                                                  
1 1/2 cups skim milk   
20-25 drops Chocolate Mint Dreamy Drops, available here                                               
4 (3.5 ounce) boxes fat-free chocolate instant pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) container light whipped topping

Directions

1.  Mix cookie crumbs with butter, press into bottom and up sides of 9 inch pie pan.
2.  Add milk and Chocolate Mint Dreamy Drops to dry pudding mix.  Beat with whisk or on low speed until well mixed.
3.  Gently stir in 2 cup of whipped topping.  Spread into crust.
4.  Refrigerate 45 minutes.
5.  Before serving, using a pastry bag with star tip, top pie with remaining whipped topping.

80-Calorie Peanut Butter Banana Muffins!

 

 


These delightful muffins are only 80 calories each!  Low-calorie and delicious?!  I'm in love!


Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup bananas, mashed
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
20-25 drops Peanut Butter Dreamy Drops, available here
1/4 cup applesauce

Directions

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease muffin tin, or use paper muffin liners.
2.  Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3.  In a separate bowl, beat banana, sugar, egg, and Peanut Butter Dreamy Drops. Stir in applesauce.
4.  Stir in flour mixture.
5.  Pour batter into muffin cups (about 3/4 full).
6.  Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the muffin comes out clean.  Tip: If you use paper liners, the muffins stick to the paper until they have set awhile.

Cinnamon Roll Greek Yogurt Pancakes

These scrumptious, high-protein pancakes are the perfect breakfast!



Ingredients

  • 6 oz of vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 6-8 drops Cinnamon Roll Dreamy Drops, available here
  • 1 egg
  • scant 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  •  
    Instructions
    1. Open the yogurt container and stir the yogurt until it’s smooth and creamy; stir in Cinnamon Roll Dreamy Drops. Crack an egg over the yogurt and stir to combine leaving. The resulting mixture should be pale yellow in color and have a few lumps here and there.
    2. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and baking soda.
    3. Pour yogurt/egg mixture into the bowl with the flour and baking soda. Stir to combine. The batter will be extremely thick.
    4. Spoon the batter onto a sprayed griddle or pan heated to medium-high. You could either make 4 large pancakes or 8 smaller ones.
    5. Flip the pancakes when they start to bubble a bit on the surface. Cook until golden brown on both sides and serve with butter, syrup, fruit, etc.

    Healthy Frozen Yogurt Trail Mix Bars

    These delightful frozen yogurt bars are lower in calories than traditional ice cream bars and pack a nutritional punch!  The addition of Peanut Butter Dreamy Drops adds the creamy, luscious flavor of peanut butter without any added fat or calories!  Perfection!


    Ingredients
    • 2 cups Chobani greek yogurt (1 cup plain and 1 cup vanilla)
    • 1 1/2 c chopped fruit (strawberries, bananas, blueberries, etc.)
    • 1/2 c chopped nuts (almonds, peanuts, walnuts, etc.)
    • 3/4 c granola
    • 1/4 c chocolate chips
    • 12-15 Peanut Butter Dreamy Drops, more or less to taste
    Instructions
     
    1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
    2. Line a pan with foil.
    3. Spread yogurt mixture into pan.
    4. Cover with plastic wrap and place in freezer until frozen.
    5. Remove from freezer, let thaw for 5 minutes, cut into bars.
    6. Store in an airtight container in the freezer.
